You can do this.

And we are here to help you.

If you are needing shelter, your first step is to call us.  Please call 812-271-1496.  This is a direct line to our shelter staff.

We house men, women, and families with children in a safe environment while they rebuild their lives.

Substances

Our environment is drug and alcohol free.  If you are struggling to stay sober at the moment, we will be encouraging you to connect with a treatment center that will help you with your first steps in your recovery journey.  We can help you find a treatment center.  Depending on the situation, we can house you for a day or two while you wait to enter a treatment program.

Eligibility

We do have limitations for who can enter our shelter program which depend on a variety of factors including your background, past residency, and our available beds.  When you call, our shelter staff will discuss your situation and assess whether we are able to help you.  We may put you on a waiting list, or we may refer you to another organization.  Please call even if you've been told in the past that you were not eligible.

Your First Day at the Shelter

Arrive at the time of your appointment with our shelter staff, or if you don't have an appointment, between 6 PM and 8:30 PM.  The address is 326 Dupont Dr. Seymour, IN 47274 (directions).  Because of the size of the shelter, you will have limited space to store belongings.  You are welcome to bring your car or bike and park it on-site.  A staff member will meet with you and share about how our shelter operates and the expectations we have for all guests.

Your Goals

If you are staying longer than a day or two, we will meet with you to enroll you in our program to support you in rebuilding your life.  A case manager can assist you with obtaining ID, health insurance, doctors' appointments, saving money, finding housing, and so much more.  You will be responsible for finding work (unless you have a disability), and for saving money for your future housing.

We Believe in You

Every month we see many people graduate from our program as they move into their very own place and celebrate how far they have come.  Call us today to start your journey.
